York House

Welcome to York House.

I am delighted to be the Housemaster of York House, and this role is one I know extremely well. If I look back on my varied and fulfilling career at Barney, being a Housemaster is the one position that gave me greatest satisfaction. I was previously Housemaster of Longfield for eight years with my wife Judith, so am accustomed to boarding life and supporting our thriving boarding community that we have here at Barney.  

I am already well known to the boys in the House, in my capacity as Second Master of the School and 1^st XV Rugby Coach, and I am excited to build on these relationships and getting to know the boys and their families even more as their Housemaster.

I am very much looking forward to getting back in the saddle and operating at the heart of Barney life, which is our boarding houses.
