Enrichment Jamboree
Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August
For Current Reception to Year 6 Pupils
Last year’s Jamboree was a resounding success and this year’s promises to be even better! Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have the opportunity to take advantage of a whole week’s worth of enriching and engaging activities with a wealth of academic options in the mornings and the chance to enjoy, practice and play sport in the afternoons as well as indulging their creative side!
In Years 3-6 children have a full and varied programme of activities designed to inspire and extend them with an emphasis on expanding their own perception of what they can achieve, becoming confident and independent learners.
The days will run from 9:30am-3:30pm, although additional care is available from 8:00am until 5:00pm at an extra cost. Whilst we hope you will see the benefit of a whole week of diverse sessions delivered with all the enthusiasm and excellence you would expect from Prep School staff it is, of course, possible to book individual days. Pupils will need to bring a packed lunch for each day (except Monday).
For the first time this year we will be running Bikeability alongside the Enrichment Jamboree. Pupils will be able to develop and enhance not only their bike-handling skills but also their confidence, building up taking their bike on the main road. These excellent sessions (run by Durham County Council) have proved highly popular and hugely beneficial in the past. Bikeability will run as follows:
Monday 29th 10:00 – 12:00 Level 1 (Yr 2+)
Tuesday 30th 10:00 – 15:00 Level 2 (Yrs 5 / 6 Only)
Pupils who wish to take on their level 1 training can arrive any time after 8, take part in the beginning part of the day’s activities and will then join up with the Jamboree pupils after lunch on the Monday. Level 2 pupils will also be training most of the day on Tuesday but will begin and end their day with Jamboree. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Please indicate if you would like to take part in the Bikeability option, using the booking options below
Costs:
£25 per day
£35 per day for additional care
£110 for the whole Enrichment Jamboree week (9:30am-3:30pm)
