Reception

There is never a dull moment in the Reception class at Prep School. A bright, warm and friendly environment entices children into a wealth of activities and learning opportunities to give them the best possible start to their school career. Every child benefits from the positive atmosphere and is able to develop their knowledge in a meaningful and purposeful way. Focused learning means each child is supported individually and allowed to progress at their own pace. We are exempt from the teaching and learning requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum which enables us to work effectively with each individual child without constraints.

Music, PE and French are taught by specialist teachers. Learning is enhanced through play both indoors and in the dedicated Reception Outdoor Classroom, providing plenty of opportunities for exploration and investigation in all weathers.
