Headspace Speaker Programme: OB visits

We are grateful to OBs Paul Million and Tom Gardiner who returned to their former School to deliver a series of engaging talks to students as part of this week’s Headspace focus.
On Wednesday, Paul spoke about his fascinating career in property and his time in the Royal Navy, while emphasising the importance of utilising networks and supporting one another, ‘Barnardian to Barnardian’. He also spent time afterwards with students interested in pursuing a career in property, offering his time and vital tips.
Concluding this week’s bumper series of visiting OB speakers, on Friday, we welcomed Tom Gardiner who spoke to our Sixth Form about the opportunities in Wealth Management. Tom talked about the firm he works for, St James’s Place, as well as the importance of a sustainable future and the role Financial Services can play in helping to secure one.
Incredibly, at one of our OB gatherings in the last year, Tom secured himself a job after a chance discussion with another attendee, highlighting the power of networking at such events!
