Stephen Spender Prize 2022 – many congratulations, Tahlia!

We are delighted to share some incredible news involving one of our students, Tahlia H, who has been awarded a commendation in a prestigious, international translation competition!
Tahlia’s translation from Uruguayan Spanish to English was recognised by the Stephen Spender Trust (SST), after submitting her entry in July of this year.
The SST is inspired by the cultural activism of Stephen Spender, poet and champion of international literature, and the competition is a celebration of multilingualism and literary translation through a range of initiatives, including the Trust’s Poetry in Translation Prize and Creative Translation in the Classroom programmes.
