DofE Awards success!

Well done to the many Barnardians who completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Schemes, as part of a new initiative introduced by our thriving Combined Cadet Force (CCF) last year.
The CCF gave all the new recruits in Year 9 the opportunity to complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. The main aim of this initiative was to emphasise that all the activities and skills learned on a weekly basis during parade afternoons could count towards gaining an additional award.
At the start of this term, Lt Col Connor handed out 23 certificates to those cadets who had completed three out of the four sections required to achieve the Bronze Award.
A further seven cadets successfully completed the full award:
- Emily C
- Livia C
- Saffron F
- Lucy H
- Harriet R
- Martha S
- Mia T
In addition, Cadet Saffron F received the Garvey Cup for her enthusiasm and commitment towards the award scheme.
Many congratulations to all cadets and Barnardians working towards their Bronze, Silver and Gold DofE Awards!
