Computer Science trip to Newcastle University – 06.11.23

Yesterday, the L6 and U6 Computer Science students visited the School of Computing at Newcastle University for an outreach event.

Sessions were held on a variety of topics such as a careers and work experience talk, a lecture on ‘Evolving video game technology: Human vs artificial intelligence’, and a practical session looking at the design of human computer interfaces.

The day ended with a guided tour of the School from current Masters students and a student-led Q&A. A fascinating and worthwhile day which undoubtedly helped to inspire the next generation of computer scientists!
