World Book Day 2023

We have enjoyed a wonderful day at Prep School celebrating World Book Day and our ‘We are Readers’ theme!
The children (and staff!) got firmly in the spirit as they were dressed in some fantastic costumes of various book characters from books they have enjoyed reading.
However, our celebrations began in February as we hosted a ‘Readathon’ with all money raised supporting books in hospitals for children. We are grateful for our community’s support of this initiative.
Earlier this week, in anticipation for World Book Day, Year 5 brought some mythical magic to Forest School! Linking with their English lessons, they brought their short stories to life by creating mythical beasts before spending time today reading these stories to children from other year groups, which was heartening to see.
It has been another wonderful experience and day of learning at Prep School, and we are excited to celebrate World Book Day in the future, as well as all other enriching educational initiatives.
