Teesdale Aviation Day 2022

We were honoured to join dignitaries from Barnard Castle Town Council, RAF Leeming and the Royal Air Forces Association for a service of commemoration in recognition of Teesdale Aviation Day 2022 earlier today.
The poignant service, held at the Galgate Memorial Gardens, Barnard Castle, paid tribute to the men and women who lost their lives while serving in the RAF and Air Transport Auxiliary in Teesdale and the Western Pennines.
Headmaster Tony Jackson was joined by Major Caroline Connor along with several members of Barney’s CCF contingent, who laid wreaths of remembrance.
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.
